Disney World Florida is an amazing magic packed trip. While Florida has tropical weather, it’s not your usual beach by day bar by night holiday and so what clothes you want to bring will be different. Don’t ruin a day at the theme parks with blisters on your feet or dodgy tan lines. This guide will help you ensure you’ve packed the right essentials.
What shoes do I need to pack for Disney?
Forget the high heels. Even if you go out for dinner or a drink salads will be fine. Although shoes can be heavy for your luggage allowance you need at least a few different pairs to avoid feet aches/blisters. I’d recommend taking:
- Walking trainers like Sketchers or Nike New Balance
- Sandals, lightweight and pretty (I get a pair from Primark every year for the summer) easy to fit in hand or hold luggage
- Flip flops for a beach day or afternoon by the pool
- Another pair of comfy shoes (I’d recommend Birkenstocks)
What clothes do I need to pack for Disney World?
- a couple of bikinis/swimsuit that you feel secure in. If you’re in the waterparks you don’t want to worry about anything slipping out!
- rainmac- for those tropical down pours
- bandeau tops and shorts are great to wear to catch a tan as you’re walking around the parks
- a couple of playsuits and dresses for the evening
- t shirts- especially if you catch the sun so your shoulder are covered
- cap to protect your head from the sun and heatstroke
Are there any specific toiletries I need to pack?
Bug spray! Like any tropical destination you want to avoid getting bitten by gnats. I would also put on spf factor 50. When you’re enjoying yourself around the parks you might not remember to top up. For make up, I’d skip it it will just melt off in the humidity. Most I’d wear was concealer, cheek and lip tint with brow gel and maybe mascara in the evening. A spf lip balm is also a good idea to avoid burnt or chapped lips. With all that suncream make sure you pack a good cleanser to get rid of all the sweat at the end of the day.
