Stay
The Shepley Hotel in the Art Deco district, close to restaurants and bars and a very short cab to the super clubs. Lovely boutique hotel.
Eat
When we visited it was Miami Spice week so many of the top restaurants had $30 set menus. We went to Gianni’s at the Versace mansion. You can get all dressed up and when you walk out there’s a lot of tourists taking pictures of the mansion which is the closest to feeling almost famous I’ll ever get the food was nice and the setting very glamorous but for proper Miami food you’re better off finding a reasonably priced Cuban place and get a Cubano sandwich!
Nightlife
LIV at Fountainbleau: $25 vodka cranberries so pre drink before but was a great super club/ Vegas style experience (we also saw Jeff Bezos at a table- which explained the $25 tiny drinks)
Sugar Factory was nice for drinks and people/ car watching.
