We stayed here late November to early December and were very lucky to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern lights)
December is one of the best months for the lights to appear but is also prone to storms which means the lights are hidden behind heavy cloud. But even if you don’t get to see the lights Iceland is still a magical place

Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur is a must. Only £3 each and best hot dogs we’ve ever had! They take card payments too (we used Monzo/ Revolut everywhere)
Fiskmarkaðurinn was a special treat on our last night. We had the festive tasting menu and it was insane.
