Guide to Canggu, Bali

A guide on what to do and where to go in Bali’s popular party town.

Where to stay

There are lots of hotels and hostels in Canggu as it’s a very touristy area. Look at most recent reviews to help you decide as since the pandemic some may not be as good as they were or as busy as tourism has only recently opened back up.

Getting around

Canggu isn’t very pedestrian friendly so it’s worth getting a cab where you can. Download the Grab and Gojeck apps for affordable taxis as well as food delivery.

What to do

Batu Balong beach might not be the prettiest but it’s good for surfing so why not try a lesson!

For late night dancing Luigi’s Pizza and Old Man’s are great. Saturday nights you may have to get a ticket online for Old Man’s if there’s a DJ on.

Unfortunately I was really unwell in Bali so didn’t get a chance to visit the beach clubs but heard great things about Finn’s, La Brisa and Desa Potato Head.
